Our "new" 2004 Adria caravan hasn't got a water heater - it was removed by previous owner as I'm assuming it had a leak or something. If we were to fit a new one does anyone know what model we'd be looking for please?
Did the removal leave any sort of vent/access hole on the outside of the van? That might help decide what is replce the orignal. Agree the Ultrastore is probably worth a look. A van of that age may well have had a Cascade water heater, not quite so easy to replace although I seem to recall copies being made. The Cascade had about a 10 inch by 10 inch vent on the outside of the van.
We had to replace the water heater in our previous MH (1993 reg), because its gas part was corroded so there was a whiff of gas outside, it failed its Habitation Service. It was a Carver Cascade, which caravans & MHs of many makes had then; firm doesn’t exist any more. I think it was a Henry that we replaced it with ourselves, but other water heaters are available in caravan part shops. It wasn’t anything like £400 either. There are many posts here about replacing Cascades, might be worth searching.
Ok - I've had a look again inside the van and there's a button that says Truma Therme so I'm guessing that's what it had originally - not sure if they are any good if we replaced it with the same?
