Hi David,

Unfortunately the mpg figure is for solo use. On a good day, you know, downhill with the wind behind you, no other vehicle on the M25 so a steady 56mph I may break 22mpg. Please don't ask for round town consumption figures, it's pitiful to watch a grown man cry!

A new(er) car wopuld indeed be nice and is getting closer to the top of my wish list. We had to choose between newer car and therefore requisite sacrificing of summer hols etc or a caravan, plenty of trips away all year round and crossing fingers/toes etc that the beast will cope! Had to opt for the caravan. Family will now hopefully get lots of trips, kids will be happy, I'll have somewhere to sleep when I get home late from work and realise I've forgotten my door key (lol).

I'm a LR man through and through but I must admit....... the old Sorrento looks a nice piece of kit.

Regards

Perry
