We have just bought a Fleetwood Sonata Prelude. I know that it has fixed beds at the back, but they are large beds for a van. They are extra wide to normal and as the van is a few inches wider than most vans, the beds are a few inches longer also. Our eldest son is 6'1" and the beds are big enough for him. He is the reason our last van only lasted us 8 months. The end also shuts off from the rest of the van, which we see as important when looking for a van. Internally, the van is about 17'  so has plenty of room with the fixed beds. Only weighs 1165kg unloaded as well. The van is also a 6 berth. There is also a Fleetwood Sonata Melody which is the same size, but only a 5 berth. Layout is totally different, including kitchen on other side of the van. Can not remember how the beds are layed out though. Very good build quality as well.

We have a Sterling Eccles Elite Trekker, couple of years old, this has two singles or good sized double at the front and at the back either a bunk with single underneath and small diner at the side or it can be two singles and a bunk or a large double and a bunk if required , this works for us, if we are on our own we can make the big bed up and leave itlike a fixed bed with proper door to close off, if 2 daughters with us they have their own dinette and a bed each (takes up to 11 stone) and if either brings a friend we have three beds, we have actually fitted three in double bed and one in bunk, Goof combo, works great for us!

Good luck

Sue
