I have been looking at the Adria Altea 432PX fixed bed model to use as a 2 berth. Has anyone got one of these? Has anyone got any comments about Adria in general?
We dont have an Altea 432 but we did buy the 502DK about a year ago.
We were new to touring so we wanted good value for money for our family of 5. We found it in the Adria Altea 502DK. Basic, no carpets, no oven but space enough for all of us and our belongings. We did get a shower, an external gas point and external elec point fitted as extras however. It has proved to be pretty hard wearing, no real problems even though we use the van every other weekend (minimum, sometimes every weekend) at our seasonal pitch. It has just had its first service and again no issues excepting for the door being slightly misaligned. This has now been fixed. I guess the acid question is, would i buy another one? The answer is yes, its not to everyones taste, there are some nice luxuries that you get on other vans, and have to pay for, but if its solid, value for money touring in a continental style you want I dont think you can go far wrong.
Hope that helps, if you need to know anything else just let me know and I will try my best to answer.

We looked at the Adria'a before we purchased a Bailey - personal choice I think, we did a lot of looking before we bought and chose what we thought would suit our needs best. On the whole though we were very impressed with the Adria vans.
yep we got a altea 432px last year wife regrets getting it as where the seating is not long enough for her to stretch out on plus with the fixed bed being neer the shower room with know gap in between with the wife haviing arthritis and ostioarthritis (spelling )she finds it very hard to climb up the bed hopefully i may have cured that problem by cutting 5 inches of the width of the bed and am taking delivery this wed of a new 4ft mattress so that leaves a 6 inch gap for the wife to get her legs in nearer the top of the bed one problem i find is the power point above the knife draw when you have plug in and try to open the drawer you catch the cable withe drawer again next time we go away (13th march) will try it with a 3 way adaptor in with the plug in the top cant understand why it wasnt put in the same place as the light switches otherwise minor faults as far as i'm concerned tows no problem with my ford escort 1.8 estate and i love the vanany more questions just ask see my avatar

I forgot about that one, yes it is a bit of a pain in the rear end. Mind you its a small price to pay for a bit of inconvenience. I would rather make sure that things are plugged into that socket for the least time possible because it is easy to catch a cable with elbows and things where it is.

thanks very much for your answers. its always nice to get others opinions. If I had one I would buy a smaller table to make more floor space as it would be used for a 2 berth and a large table is not needed. At the moment I only use the fold out table in my swift, I will have another look at the NEC.
Good choice of van! we have the adria 502DK, have you got an oven in yours? we was thinking of getting an oven fitted. At the moment we are using a table top oven, which is ok for now, but would like one fitted in the future. It's so nice to hear of people having the same caravan

No, no oven but I think the work to install one is already done. (It says on the website, pre-installation for Smev oven and grill.)
We did decide not to bother with one, we have come from a tenting background so an oven is not so important to us at the moment.
Fantastic van though, so big and yet so light!

I have had my Altea 432 for two years now, the only problem being farmer giles who can't drive his tractor where we stored it, hence a nice dent in the door (still water tight though). We have two children age 2 and three and have coped with both of them being babies (lots of nappies, baby bottles etc etc) . We use either a caravanstore or a full awning and whilst it is snug its never cramped. Because we have small children we have never bothered with rally sites CIs etc because we need the showers and washrooms hence the lack of a battery hasn't been of any concern. The fixed bed is supremely comfortable and there is acres of storage space underneath, as well as loads of locker space (more than in larger vans). The small narrow locker with shelves in by the door is also a real boon. As for no grill or oven we upgraded from a tent so this didn't bother us, and anyway who wants to cook a three course meal when you're on holiday, enjoy the outdoor life thats what a caravan is all about. One more thing, its light, well built and tows like a dream. We tow with a diesel Picasso.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
