We have just moved house and found that our caravaning needs are a bit OTT, we have a spare full 875 NR awning in green plus a heavy duty porch awning anyone intrested in £150 for the two. slight stains to both but no leakeage.
Godness how much do we really buy that we need I have more chairs than we can use spare lighting , just in case there's no leccy and heater if it gets cold.
How much extra do you have in your van/garage that doesn't get used

Hi, You're right, We have spare chairs in case of visitors, Spare heater, battery and rechargable lights, spare sleeping bag, Spare mugs (not melamine because OH says coffee tastes diff.) disposable BBQ's and every time we have a major clearout I always find more 'spare stuff' we never use.

We changed our van last year and was amazed at the junk we were carrying nearly filled the garage, needless to say we now travel light, well until we NEED the junk again.
hi my oh says we got better stuff in the van than we got at home lol but surely if we didn't take the spare stuff then we would probably need it & go out & buy some more you never know lol

I always find if I take anything out of the caravan I always wish I hadn't 'cos I need it and end up buying another one. Did it at New Year, no heater ('cos was going to use caravan's blown air) but we were sharing EHU and I wasn't sure how much the blown air would take on leccy so bought a halogen heater with 400/800/1200 w settings (known quantity) to save the gas. Still it has come in useful at home.
BTW, have now sussed out that blown air on slow setting only takes about 1 Kw, so now I know for next time.
