Having put up our Bradcot Classic awning for sale as we've changed to a Portico Porch, I discovered we'd somehow managed to lose a pair of curtains for it.

On Monday of this week I sent an email to Bradcot asking if they could sell me a pair of curtains.  I received an email back from Sheila at Bradcot asking me if I'd got a photo of the pattern - which i sent on Monday evening.  On Tuesday Sheila sent me an email saying she'd go in her lunch hour and have a look in the factory to see if she could find any of that pattern

Yesterday (Wednesday) I came home from work to find the postie had delivered a pair of curtains and at no charge.  HOWS THAT FOR A FIRST CLASS SERVICE!!!!!

I've heard and read that Bradcot have smartened up their act.

They needed to 'cos up until fairly recent times their customer service reputation was found to be sadly lacking ie poor response times if any at all was one of the criticisms that was repeatedly being levelled at them.

I'm afraid that I am not happy with my Bradcot awning purchased last April lots of problems, water leaking etc, etc. very poor after sales service last season, I hope they have improved as I think there are more problems to sort out when we start using it again.

Same here, i found the easy alloy poles rubbish when the wind picks up, they travel back in on thereselves. the legs get shorter ect. So much so, that one night it was raining and the wind picked up abit, woke up to find the poles had shortened them selves slightly, which in turn made the awning slack, so they was a massive pool of water on the roof of the awning. The weight of this bent one of the roof poles like a banana.

Rang Bradcot when i got back, was told i could buy steel polesat the cost of £280 !!! and even these would travel back in the wind. Not impressed at all.

Don't know whether I'm tempting fate by saying this but my Classic is 6 years old and I've not had a single problem with it. Got the Easy Poles too and would not hesitate recommending the system.

Can only speak as I find..............

the easy poles on ours kept going in on themselves until we took off those attachment feet things on the awning itself and used the ones already screwed onto the van (if you see what I mean), since then they haven't done it, plus it's now easier to thread through the awning rail.
