Is there anyone out there in Ukcampsite land that know how to repair holes in awnings??
Our's has 2 holes in it, one in the grey material and the other in the burgundy. Is there a way that the holes can be patched like you would with an inner tube for a bike? or would it have to be stitched?

Its quite easy custer. Just take it to an awning repair specialist they will patch it with the same acrylic material that is on it already. They shouldn't charge that much in fact the biggest cost is transport. I dont know of a place by you but there is the Canvas repair centre at Burton on trent Staffordshire they are very good and always very busy.

Hi,
I have just repaired a simailar problem with our awning (4 inch split). Iused "stormsure" . You put tape on one side and put stormsure on the other side. its a sort of rubbery, waterproof, strong solution not a patch. When dry in 12 hours take the tape off and you have a neat permanent joint. Its used for fabric and wet suit repairs. Time will tell I suppose but so far I am pleased with it. Cost about £5.
