I can understand your concern, but it's simply the way the caravan industry works.
Although Bailey have recently changed the pattern a bit, it is traditional and normal for new models to be launched around August/September, so you have a 2006 model, but originally bought in 2005. I would suggest that when you come to change it, you'll not suffer unduly.
In December, I bought a 'new' 2005 model, although the 2006 models, which have several differences from mine, were then available for ordering.
As it it a 2006 model, and you bought it in 2006, presumably with an invoice to prove that, when you come to change it I would suggest that when negotiating with a dealer, involving the van in a trade-in, you simply tell them that you bought it in 2006, quoting the particular month.
