Hi, anyone know of any caravan stores in the lakes in case we need anything or forget to take stuff with us. Did a quick search on google but didnt turn up anything.

There is one in Kendal, can't remember the name but if you follow the signs to the Morrisons supermarket, don't turn right into the carpark but contine on the road for another 200yds and turn left onto the industrial estate. There is a landrover car dealer on the corner. The accessory shop is on the ind estate.
I live in the lakes , you would think that there would be plenty of camp /caravan store here but the truth is , their isn't they are few and far between and the ones that are here you have to pay over the odd things , In the past we have either had to go to blackpool or ulverston (bardsea leisure) . This doesn't sound very helpful for you but I thought i would tell it like it is.
I have to agree with you Kar j i find myself having to shop out of the area dont know of any here in Kendal, Bought van from Bardsea but find them & Calendar Caravans at Carnforth expensive & unhelpful.
As Michael says You should be able to get what you need at shepherds boat yard in Bowness on Windermere or just make do without until next time as it wont be that important if you have managed to forget it.
thanks for that, things that i might need are the crystal thingies, just odds and sods etc, Strange that there isnt that many considering the number of sites.

We have been to Carlisle Caravans twice on visits to the Lakes.They are just off Juct 44 at Harker,very friendly and able to help at very short notice.
Hi Megabite the crystal thingies are water filters they are located on the side of the van, think you need to change them once a year. Unfortunately ours is locked in we had to buy off ebay i might add, for a fiver a gadget that helps to unscrew it. Then I read that you should put a bit of veggie oil round it to prevent it sticking.
