some years ago at a secure compound near where i live they had a night visit. the theives had put boards across a water filled ditch and 2 vans were made ready for tow away, but their granada tow car got stuck. so they set it on fire. not pointing fingers but (our you know who) had just arrived in a field 200 yards away .funny they didnt stay very long (minus one granada i would say).
Its around this time of year that nice and shiny twin axle caravans turn up on patches of wasteland...patches of private land....wide verges...etc...etc
We pass a new little camp on the way to our local supermarket (Nice, not)...and I was only commenting last week on the huge twin axles caravans, and how new and shiny looking they are.
Would it be of any interest to anybody if I was able to take *discreet* photographs of such caravans...from a distance alas as I don't want to be noticed doing this (I have to live in this town after all) so no chassis numbers etc. Who would be most interested in these photos...victims of twin axle theft? Insurance companies? Is it worth it? Or are they all legitimate caravans?

It will all stop in a few years when we are a muslim state, and thieves have a hand cut off !
Michael
Problem is, who is going to cut their hands off?
I would never keep my van at home particularly as it is a twin. Best defence is a tracker. At least you stand some chance of getting the b******s before they wreck it.

Ulti-Mates, where is the storage yard which suffered the thefts? was it Hallen or Chipping Sodbury? we keep ours halfway between the two and I am now going to start getting paraniod, as our van is a twinaxle too,
best regards, Martin
Martin, sorry I've been away and so didn't respond very quickly! It was from Mapleridge on the outskirts of Yate.
