we will soon be buying our 1st touring caravan (well had an old one years ago) and realise that their is so many options. We need a six berth, 2 adults and 4 kids.

The layout that seems favouable to us is a double at one end, then at the other 2 sets of bunks that can be screened off from the rest of the van. (This option seems to suit us more than fixed rear bunks, and a side bunk opposite the kitchen).

We would prefer a large twin axle van, that will be towed by a shogun.

Can anyone please tell me what models have this layout, we like the look of the Elddis Crusader Superstorm, as it has twin axle, h/c water, shower, cassette toilet, heating etc.

 many thanks

Try this link, http://www.explorer-group.co.uk  they have virtual tours on this page.

The one you are describing looks like the Corona 636.

Good Luck!

You could try the Lunar Quasar 615 - they come with 2 fixed bunks as standard on one side at the rear. There is then a side dinette opposite the bunk which converts into the 5th bed and you can get get an extra collapsible bunk fitted above that as a standard Lunar option to make it six. The van has been out for a couple of years now so there should be some on the second hand market now. If you look at my images you'll see a cold looking side view which shows the windows of the 2 fixed bunks.

The bathroom is quite small but that is the offset for LOTS of interior space.

 thanks madfrank,

It does seem that most have the rear bunks and a side dinette rather than the 2 x singles with bunks over. I did not realise that you can get extra bunks, that is useful to know.

I just bought a 2006 Ace Jubilee Equerry the same as Rattyhorses and would recomend that if you go for this type of van get extra sockets added as there are only 2.

Good van and very easy to tow at only 1410Kg MPLM
