Hello everyone,

It's my first post on here so please excuse me if I have put this in the wrong section. We are picking up our van tomorrow (very very old swift corvette) and have sold our tent and equiptment this morning so I guess we are now offically caravaners. Thing is the awning with the van is as my OH puts it older than Gods Dog. Therefore we fancy treating ourselves to a nice new awning to make the van look slightley nicer on site. However we haven't a lot of cash to spend and the van is a 15ft so the only one we seem to be able to afford comfortabley is called a Fiesta Whisperer and for our van it retails at £250 with an annex at £130. It seems too cheap to be any good esp as it has three zip off sides and it's quite modern (curtains a little but loud) but most do seem to be. Have any of you any experience of this manufacturer and what do you think. Also any other recommendations would be appreciated. But please bear in mind that we have a low buget and would prefer an annex if poss. We should only be using it for a max of four holidays a year if that helps

Hi michael,

Unfortunatley too far away for us, and we would want to see first.  We have four young kids so a journey like that would be a nightmare. Actually that's how we sold our tent and equipment this morning. So can recomend the site.  Was looking for something perhaps on an online shop as they usually do free delivery.

Thanks for the thought though

Maria

have you thought about looking at ebay, there might be someone in your area selling one.  We bought our van in Jan and only got to use the awning at easter.  It was that bad we promptly chucked it in the bin.  We looked on ebay and found a bradcot awning in the next village to us.  We went and had a look at it before we bid on it.  We picked it up friday and tried it on our van yesterday and it fits perfect and at the fraction of buying new

I picked up a bradcot active awning on ebay for £200 a 2004 model, then added a universal bedroom annexe for £50, really looks the part on my 12 year old van.

Hi

We have just bought our awning secondhand from the local dealer but during the search found this. http://www.textilebargain.co.uk/catalog/caravan-awnings-c-31.html  They advertise on ebay thats how we found it. Have no idea about the quality but for the money it doesnt seem a bad deal.
