Can anybody tell me which is the best bike carrier to get for my Nissan Primera, I have looked a quite a few but am undecided which to get .If anyone that has a Primera with a bike rack i would be obliged if you can let me know which is best

Presumably you want to carry you bikes whilst towing. I have towed with a Primera in the past and carried bikes in various ways. I have a Witter tow bar mounted carrier but found that with the caravan hooked up I exceeded the the nose weight for the car. I also tried carrying the bikes in the caravan but found that inconvenient. I have been towing for sometime now with the bikes mounted on the car roof bars and consider that the best way.

I use some Mont Blanc Barracuda bike racks when I had my 1994 Primera. These are easy to mount on the roof bars and easy for your bikes to fit into - whatever the size. I bought them from http://www.skidrive.co.uk/cycle/cyclefocus.php3?partno=BARRACUDA

These carriers also seem to offer good security as they lock the bikes to the carrier and the carrier to the roof bars. As lon as you have roof bars that can lock to the car then it's as good as it gets!

I chose to carry the bikes on the roof so that it woul not impede the hatch back, vision or get in the way of the tow hitch area AND I didn't need to buy a tail board to hang from the carrier when carrying bikes and not towing.
