Not in my book, it wouldn't be.

I reckon that as it has no 'footprint' so to speak, that it can't possibly count. 

I guess the only exception might be if the pitches aren't very big and your canopy enters the 'firebreak' space needed between units.

Why do you have to take it down if it rains????

We use a Fiamma Caravanstore (just a roof)  and it is great in the rain.   Strong wind................well that's a different story.!!!!!

we use our canopy and just plead ignorant there a godsend but as some sites charge up to 2.75 per night it works out a dear do for even a porch awning thats why we invested in a canopy
