I have been looking at a Kia Sportage and it is dual fuel.  When running on gas will it be powerful enough to tow a caravan.  Caravan is a Swift Challenger 440/4S

Any help appreciated

Thanks in advance

dont worry about the power, petrol or lpg will be the same, just make sure you check the weights are ok.

also make sure its a proper dual fuel conversion etc.

How will i tell that just advertised as dual fuel and thought that would be a good idea to save a bit money.  Dont really know much about LPG though.

Thanks for the quick reply

Don't worry about the power loss from LPG, it's hardly noticable and it won't affect the towing capability of the vehicle. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee on LPG. Saves me a fortune on fuel though, of course, it was more expensive to buy in the first place.

LPG is less than half the price of diesel and petrol, even if you do lose a bit of power, so what, think of the savings.

Not an expert on this but I understand if it is a proper conversion it would have a certificate issued to say it has been fitted by an approved supplier/convertion specialist.

Agree with all the above especially the last bit about certificates, you may well find your insurance company does not want to know it without one.

Yes, you do need the certificate for your own peace of mind as well as the formalities!.
