Hi Folks
Just been to the storage compound with some stuff for the next jaunt away and thought I`d left the main front centre window on vent but closer examination showed that the window had clearly warped by 3/4" at the bottom either side, probably the heat??.
It hadn`t been forced at all. A bit peeved with this as the van is only 4 months old (Avondale Golden Eagle) so you think "God here we go again, another day off work delivering and waiting etc. etc" wondered if anyone else had had this problem.
Best to all
a fed up Steve and Carol

Not had that problem with my late Golden Eagle (2002 model) but had many others in the 3 years including floor delamination, brake failure, warped internal dooor, cracked front panel and the last staw cracked roof. My solution, trade it in for a German van. Sad really as I was a fan of Avondale having had two others without problem, but Avondale seem know to build them to a price and not a quality.

Hi Robert
Not too sure if it is warped, very strange but looks like it has come away from the bottom about 3/4" but not sure if it has from the start (ie if its meant to be like that? but never noticed it before)The seal is still intact.
The two front side windows are angled to the middle one and appear to make the middle one stick out a wee bit at the bottom?.Anyway the wife is insisting we do something about it so begins the hassle!

Hi Steve,

As yours is a new model van, that is with the new roof and front I can't comment on how the windows meet, mine had the traditional one piece roof, the trade mark for years of Avondale.

I can only suggest that you visit a dealer and look at similar Avondales to see if yours is different. The fact that its a Glossop special would not affect the window design as the special Golden is a conventional Eagle with extra accessories and different trim.

Good luck!!!

Just remember before another Avondale kicking thread starts off, the windows are a bought in component.
