The older ABI Ace caravans were very good vans in their time (The Swift Leisure Group now own the Ace name, so current Aces are not the same). The old Ace Award range were really quite upmarket, with high quality interiors.
However, as with any van of that age, you need to look carefully at it for signs of deterioration such as damp and delamination, as well as at the condition of the chassis, hitch, brakes, electrics etc,. Damp and delamination are some of the worst evils of all makes/models of UK built caravans. Even quite recent vans can be affected.
Check it over with a DIY damp meter at the very least. Better still, take someone along with you who has some caravan owning experience and who knows where to look for potential problems.
