Hi, I've just ordered an Ultima 260 - to replace our Scenic plus, which we love, but its damaging the van. I think I read somewhere that someone had a 390 and had 'eyeletted the outer skirt'. Does the skirt not have eyelets already the same as the Scenic plus?

No the Ultima range do not have eyeletted skirts. As yet I have not need do put in any eyelets, I have howevery used my Wurmi scew in peg system to pull the skirt tought.

I did do a mod to my scenic plus to stop it marking the van, using two large suckers and I posted pictures on here. See

Sorry, I don't quite understand - does it have 'rubbers' to peg it out then?

It has a couple but would benifit from a few more however if you do put more eyelets in DO NOT be tempted to peg the skirt tightly from main material as this will result in skirt tearing away from main material along the stitching line this holds true for any type of awning and is the most common type of damage. It has rubbers on the inside connected to main fabric for peging

Sorry I'll explain a little more. I use my Wurmi groundsheet clips to pull the skirt out a little and hold it down. There are many similar groundsheet clips on the market, usually the come in two parts, with the sheet gripped in between. They have a hole for a peg so they can be fastened down. They are NOT intended to secure the awning just tidy up the skirt.
