Has anybody out there got the Bailey Ranger 460/4 series 5? We have one on order from YC at Bawtry and whilst waiting for it to be made ready we thought we would order a matching awning so that we wouldn't be waiting when we got the word that it was ready....lol.
The brochure says its awning size is 911cm and thus needs a size 11 awning. But then goes on to say that this is ONLY A GUIDE.
Our current caravan (Elddis Tornado XL) is very nearly the same layout and measures roughly the same, yet our current awning size for the Elddis is only 9.... (860cm).
We have gone ahead and ordered a size 11 full awning as per the Bailey brochure, but are now starting to panic a bit incase it is too big when we get the van.
Just in case it might put your mind at rest Les, we ordered a bailey Pageant 5 berth Provence a few weeks back, it said the awning size required was 966cm or size 14. Our old awning was 925cm so it had to go with the van. Having the same doubts as yourself, I rang the awning manufacturers & asked their advice direct. They asked the make & model of the van, told me what size was required & I ordered it from them direct, fair play to them for service, it was delivered three days later & it's here sat waiting for the caravan to go behind it which is due to arrive here the third week in july. If they've got it wrong, they'll have to replace the awning which I hope they'll do as fast as they deleivered the current one but I suspect they know what the job is all about.

Hiya' Shooie,
Nice thought but NO DEAL....lol I had to bleed them todeath to get the deal we got on PX for our old van....lol
You can only push so far.....we even have to buy the new spare for the Bailey as its on 14" wheels.
Regards,
Les Wilson.
I was kidding, we actually walked away because they would only reduce the pirce of an awning. But we did get a good deal for no PX and cash and I got the LUX pack (cd alloy's spare wheel, hitchlock etc) for £150.00 instead of £450. They have offered discount in the shop for extra's. But I have bought everything I need cheaper elsewhere. went home and rung round several other dealers with the price we had been quoted for the van, needless to say we went back, tail between the legs and did the deal.
Measure your caravan as shown in the picture, the measurement from ground to ground A-B-C can then be checked with the chart to give you your awning size. If you are not sure please contact your Dorema dealer for further advice.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Many many thanks Michael, thats the size we have ordered (size 11...but we just needed a bit of reasuring as it seemed a bit big) .....if the awning arrives early and we dont have the caravan to try it on the company (a subsidary of this company - UK Campsites) wont take it back or change it if we have had it more that seven days.
