Me again having a bad day

Spent the last 2 hours searching for chassis number

Then i found it inside front locker or so i throught

There it was right at the back 

460/2ET

93 RI 112003

Wrote down number and called CC to insure it

Told her the number and she said wrong 1

Where the chassis number was suppose to be it said WEST MIDS caravans

Does anyone know where it gone and hidden itself

Apart from ripping caravan to pieces i looked inside lockers etc

It driving me mad

I think that is a serial number of a sort, I have just found out Mardon went bust in 92 and then started up under the name Riding caravans in 93 until 94 which could explain the first bit of your number. Problem is you should have a full 17 digit VIN number after 1992 and that should be on all the windows!

Try ringing Mardon Repairs and Service 01482 899070 I think their still going??

Annoying when that happens Michael but Dodgy ground for me really.... now if it was made by Carver!!

I am going to take a stab though that the 93RIxxx is the number, the reason being they were so small they did not join or were exempt from the VIN numbering scheme... which started in 92 not after.

in my book says

1992=N / 1993=P / 1994=R / 1995=S / 1996=T / 1997=V / 1998=W / 1999X

  i have found a plate on my mardon it is on the main axle tube  facing the front but i suspect it is only the chassis number as it starts with knott

Now We have a Mardon dalesman 460/2 EK so haven,t even looked for number

When we got it they gave me the number hopefully its the right 1
