The Wheel clamp I have got as part of my 'freebies' for buying a new van is fiddly to fit. What are the easiest to fit without compromising security and roughly how much should I be paying? The one I have got will do the job but seems to be none user friendly.

The harder it is to get on, the harder it is to get off. In my experience they are all a bit fiddly!------------- Click on My Homepage for Blog

I have a Milenco which is very awkward to fit to my twin-wheeler. Previously used a Bulldog on my single axle which was a lot easier to use. Seriously thinking about goig back to a Bulldog.
I wouldn't necessarily agree with the above comment about removal, as thieves don't tend to use keys, but brute force.

I would say they generally don't use force, they usually use a gas torch, which pails most clamps into insignificance.

Yeah my Bulldog Euroclamp is quick and easy, and its sold secure. I also have a Milenco lightweight for when its on site/storage - two clamps = twice as long to get em off.
Practical Caravan did a test on some popular models. The BEST one lasted five minutes under attack. A wheel clamp is a deterrent, a delay, not a guarantee.

Connect the wheel clamp to mains electricity. That'll stop the ba$tard$!
Please do not hold me responsible for subsequent lawsuits.

Well I suppose a prison cell is about the same size as some caravans, so you wont fell out of place......

I wish my car had been wired to the mains when some pond scum broke in and stole my honeymoon photos of the IOW.------------- a bad day caravaning is better than a good day at work
