I think I'd have been in touch with Bailey direct by now, give their customer services a ring.

Already done that and got the tee shirt with the usual letter "sorry we can't help you on this occasion".. However the wife has now written to Bailey & Alko tonight asking both of them to take responsibility and to get their heads together with the workshop manager before the end of the week to totally replace what she calls an unroadworthy axle. I'd hate to see where she goes next if they don't!!!  Could be they will be the pigeons.  Thought I would post the query incase some one else had got a French axle and not a British one on the first models produced for the 2003 market and also had problems.

Have you got legal assistance on your home insurance?

If so give them a ring and get some legal advice, they will usually take on a case on your behalf.
