we bought a 10 month old van in feb. it needed little bits of attention but nothing I wasn't worried about doing myself. then, last week, the bathroom door screws just pulled out and looking at the frame (very thin wood) there's splits along the grain. any ideas on how best to do an 'invisible' repair? as we were away, I've managed to tempory fix it, but I wouldn'y have expected this to happen on a van just 18 months old.
As I said the franework seems to be very thin wood so no wonder it can't hold the door on. I'm worried that this won't be done under warrenty on the next service.

Dave, Just how thin is the wood? Is it possible to fill it and the re-screw the door back on? If it's hollow behind the frame can you use some of the small drywall type fittings that expand in the cavity? There has to be a way round the problem!
We had a couple of little faults on our Ace in it's last few months of warranty, earlier this year.
We had no problem getting a cooker hob trim replaced (it had rusted) and some superficial cracks in the gel-coat on the ABS plastic front panel repaired.
Swift Group gave their approval to the warranty repairs very happily. If your dealer is reluctant to help you (and ours wasn't sure how to deal with the oven trim problem), contact Swift Group and talk to them to resolve it - we did.
hi had the same problem on our old van,to resolve.. take the door off complete by removing all screws onto the frame.with a small tube of glue, glue in some match sticks and cut off flush.when dry refit all screws.place something under the door when refitting to support it.
