we bought 1st van in April and did the CC policy, never even looked anywhere else....reputable/well known/reccommended/didnt seem expensive !

go to the search section type in e&l insurance in the caravan section and read the reviews people went as far as calling them e & hell and so on when I asked the question but others did like em my choice was caravan club by a long way

cc for us not the cheapest but the most recomended we had a quote from e&l but when you add up the extras cc seems far better value for money

hi i too had a nightmare with e&l they took my premium then when i had van pinched sent a loss adjustor round to try and get out of paying... the problem is that their policies have a lot of get out clauses for them...make sure you read ALL the small print especially relating to 'high value caravans must have'.... look 3 pages back to 'definitions' and in there it states 'high value caravans are over £5k' it hten goes on to list extra security requirements over and above hitchlock and wheel clamp....if you do not comply they don't pay out A PENNY....if you leave wheel clamp or hitch lock off C&cc policy there is an excess of £500 but they still pay out most of claim....also look at at caravans over £10k must have extra security again....i think armed sentries are mentioned....if at all possible please look at your policy very carefully and try to cancel with E&HELL if they have not pointed out to you these minor requirements as they should be disclosing these in bold print on their policies but don't....it just isn't worth the grief...believe me ...it took them over 6 months to pay out and that was only because loss adjustor cocked up big time...a nice change i think....
