Ive finally come to the decision to sell my van, dont want to but a new house abroad and because of that a lack of use of the caravan and because I need to pay for the house, i need some capital....
Anyway, I want to sell it with all the trimmings, i.e awning, gas bottles, wheel clamps etc.... what would be the best way to calculate its value and how do i avoid being ripped off by a dealer if I sell to them?
How is the market for used at the mo? could I command more because of lack of second hands? Is it too late to sell now or should I wait til the spring?
Google and see if any dealers have them on a forecourt to see what sort of price they command. I believe March is best time to advertise as the weather starts to pick up and people want vans for the new season.
BTW, what are your dogs? One of them looks like a scottie or a cairn and is very sweet.
The bottom piccie looks like cairns to me, oh and I would try and sell private, I got offered 2 grand less for mine and thats for a trade in and they wanted my business !

dont know if it helps, the prices i have in my book CARAVAN BUYER 2006.502DK= 2004 = £6235/// 2003 = £6005 /// 2002 = £5600you can order this from your newsagent and it cost £4.99,bar code 9780862962531.only comes out once a year in January(14th) bear in mind these are forecourt cost with warranty
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
You'll get a very poor deal doing a straight sale to a dealer. Although maybe the simplest, I would suggest that should be your last option if you're wanting to get as much as possible for it, and a dealer won't give you much of an allowance for all the bits and pieces.
