Hi Everyone,
I'm new to caravans and I would like some help please,my basic question is :-when you are towing a caravan what sort of increase are you likely to see in your fuel consumption on a average trip,I realise that different combinations of caravans and cars will give different figures but its just a sort of average percent increase I could be looking at i.e. normal mpg say 35, mpg pulling a two berth caravan =?
Thanks for your help,
Tel.

Hi Tel,
We find the Mondeo TDCI drops from 40ish solo to 30mpg when towing the 5-berth van, so a 25% drop in economy.
Hope this helps.

Hi
Thanks for all your replies you have all helped a great deal.
One question I forgot to ask is,is there such a thing as a glasses guide or something similar that the general public can buy regarding used prices of caravans?,when I look at used caravans I never know if its a good deal or not.
Again many thanks for your help.
