hi im thinking of buying a cheap caravan just to see if we like it can anyone sugesst a cheap caravan storage in the essex suffolk area cheers as were on quite a tight budget thanks Carol
Storage is never cheap unless you can get it at home or know a friendly farmer. Do a seach on the company directory on this site or caravan storage on google. The local storage sites to me (Chelmsford) are about £30-£40 a month for a high security site.
My van is in storage at Marks Tey near Colchester. It is not cheap, about £300 a year, but there are all the security measures you can think of and everything else for cleaning. The owner lives next to the entry gate and doesn't miss anything. There is a caravan repair specialist and servicer on site.

We keep ours at a farm near our village - no super dooper security but unless you know about it, you'd be hard pressed to know any caravans were stashed there - not visible from the backwater approach lane. Don't know if he has any spaces - ours is under cover and I think all the indoor spaces have gone, but might be some out the back. Let me know if you're still interested and I'll send the phone number (don't like to shout about it - keeps the location secure!). It's in the Halstead region.
There's also Barnfield at Braintree - they advertise in Yellow pages and mags I think - they had spaces when we were looking and a pleasant ex-copper gave us a couple of hours towing tuition, which was very useful (obviously, you have to pay extra for this).

There is caravan storage at Tenpenny Hill Thorrington on the old Colchester - Clacton road, just behind the cafe before the Brightlingsea turnoff. It used to be reasonable although the old owner has since retired.
ive phoned everyone in the yellow pages and there all seem to be full anyone know of somewhere as i pick our van up next week and its getting desperate
