I always thought that my caravan was 14/12 feet. How do I measure it ?

Internal body length,external body length and shipping length (external body length plus tow bar).

I understand shipping length But how do I get 14.5ft

14.5 feet is either the internal body length or the external body length. But I understand why you're confused. Is it measured at floor level? Or at the maximum possible extremities of the body (usually about waist height)?

I have measured the `van tonight internally and window to window it is 14/12 ft. Now why didn`t I think of that before?
