Returning to caravanning now the kids have flown the nest, whats the current situation on the display of a 60 sticker these days? Oh I'm mid forties by the way!!!

Welcome to ukcs, I think the that you should have a 60 sticker on your van, but if you don`t display one you can only do 50mph maximum, now that could be wrong so lets see what the others have to say about it.

i havent got a 60 on my van. its still only 60 on a motorway anyway and 50 if the road is a 60.
but someone with more knowledge of the roads speeds will be on.

There is no legal reqiurement for a sticker.

Hi. I think that if you have a 50 mph sticker on your van then that is the speed you may go to ( it is a self limiting sticker ) I don't think you require a sticker for 60

I`ve just looked on the towing web site ,ntta.co.uk and I can`t find anything about stickers on there. Perhaps the`re totally irrelevant now. I think blackrat must be right.

Obviously the fellow that overtook us on our way to cornwall won't need a 70 plus one then. I fail to see why people bother to put them on if lots of them have little or no intention of sticking within the limit.

If the 60 stickers were a legal requirement, wouldn't new vans have them on when we bought them from a dealer? I think they are totally irrelevant these days ...I agree with blackrat. But if you want to put them on your van...feel free....Floyd.
