Hello all, just had our first trip out in our first van to Abererch Sands Pwllheli, had a great week there. Must say at first I was a bit nervous about the towing side of things even though I tow a trailer for my business. Following all the advice you good people give we had no problems other than I forgot to uncouple the 12N plug and ripped it off. Luckily no one had seen me do it. On the second day the micro switch on the tap in the washroom packed in, I pulled the knob off and gave the switch a squirt with air freshener had nothing else with us and it’s still working, mush have cleaned the contacts, just thought I’d share that with you incase you have the same problem. I read the posts often and the help and advice is great, I have learnt so much. We are now looking forward to our next trip out, may not be till the new season now though due to work etc. Keep up the good work and many thanks, Dave.
Hi Dave, Pleased you enjoyed the first trip out in the van. You won't be the first to admit to pulling off the plug, it's easy to do. Keep reading the posts ,we all enjoy that and having a laugh is part of the joy of caravanning.....
Hiya' Dave, and welcome to this mad mad world of caravanning. It gets into your blood more with every season until you suddenly look back and find that you have been doing it for decades. Pulling a plug off is not a bad starter for a first time out....at least its something that you can laugh about for a while. Its not as if you hade taken the side off the caravan or something.
Enjoy what is left of this season and then you will have all the winter months to save your pocket money and make all the little alterations and ajustments ready for next spring.
sounds like you had a great time on your first trip away and to sort out a couple of problems too ehh. on our last trip away the micro switch packed in on our sink unit and in the end it cost me £30 for a new set of taps so you did very well.lol

Hi Als, thanks for letting me know about the rally but being self employed I can't take any more time out before Xmas.
We have had the van for over a year now and this was the first time I was able to take time out. Still next year I plan to arrange my time better and start enjoying it.
