I have just bought this caravan and it's my first one so I know nothing about them !!
I dont have a owners book and need a water pump, it says compact carver on the flap to the water thingy!! my local caravan shop sold me a truma crystal water system ???
is this the right one for my van ?
also it has a reich mover thingy without the remote, can I purchase a remote for it ???
I bought the van at Auction so cant ask the previous owner these questions, I'm hoping someone here can answer these questions for me,
many thanks
Elaine
hi paul
thanks for the link it says that my van will have a compact carver or a crystal 3 !! but again to refer to my handbookthat I dont have, but I think I have A Crystal 2 pump....are u as confused as me lol, thanks for the ebay tip,it is worth a shot, and I agree that finding out is part of the fun, I have progressed from a tent to a caravan and learned everything I know from this site, I dont post much but I read everything on hear lol,
my van is at Loch lomond so its a bit of a trek to go with the wrong parts,I dont know the difference between a crystal 2 or 3!!!
thanks for the help
Elaine
The Carver compact will take a crystal 2 pump - or at least ours does. We have a 2003 lunar van. The difference is the fitting into the van. I was trying to find pictures on the Truma uk site but there is nothing very good.
If you look here at the bottom the difference appears to be that a MK2 has a big screw in cylinder filter, and the MK3 has the smaller square flat push in one.
I think the pump fits both.
Hopefully someone with the same model will reply and confirm this.
Cheers
Paul

hi leanne
thank you for your post, i shall go tomorrow and try it out and hope for the best lol, as there was no pump with the van, I wouldent recognise what i need even from a picture, I'm soooo excited with my van and cant wait to have my first night away, roll on tomorrow. I will let you know how I get on, still I would love to get my hands on a handbook.
many thanks
Elaine
The model Elaine has is the Compact (also known as the Winter kit) which doesn't have the filter at all. It's not very easy to describe what the difference is. The Mk3 is a completly different fitting to the Mk2. As I say ours is a Compact and definatley uses a Mk2 as we just had to replace it the other week.
I don't think there will be a specific handbook for your model. They just tend to have a general handbook and then you get lots of separate manufacturers info on each of the things ie fridge, cooker, toilet etc. I have the carver one but it's in the caravan which is in skegness at the moment or I would have copied it for you.
Hi paul
bwhaaaaaaa its all double dutch to me lol, I had a look and then another look and another for good measure and I havent a clue lol, all this technical stuff is too much for my brain lol, I opened so many little doors and hatches the other day that I'm now quite confused lol, I shall hope and pray that I have the right bit, many thanks for taking the time to help me out, I shall report back with the outcome.
many thanks

The pump I was sold is described as PUMP CONN. PLUG CRYS.2
and it has a hole for the pipe and 2 little prongs and its blue and white, so I take it thats a mk 2??
thanks guys for all the help.
thanks
Elaine
It is a Small World isn't it - i'll give you a wave as I'm going over the bridge on Friday evening on my way to my caravan in Skeggy.
We were lucky when we got our first van as my dad has had a van for years so knew exactly what we needed and we got chance to play with everything (as we kept it at his house) before we went on our first outing. We just got our new van a few weeks ago so were still finding our way around things ourselves - like the heating which we've not had much cause to use yet.

yes it looks just like that, so fingers crossed, I wont sleep tonight with excitment, like a child at christmas lol thanks for all the info
