Hi does anyone know of a storage site within 15 miles of St Helens, Merseyside for our 'van. It is 7.36 metres long.

Our current indoor site has just increased from £300-£700 a year. Last year we were charged £300 but owner now says that new rate is £350 and times 2 as our long van needs to be place diagonally and takes up 2 bays.

Indoor or outdoor storage are possibilities.

Thanks
Tim

Have you clicked on "Company Directory" at the top of this page, you`ll find a list of storage sites on there. There might be one near you,

Hi Tim and Cary, we are on MotorNation just off the St.Helens to Widnes Linkway. It is £400 a year, the site is fully secure with 24 hour security man, motion cameras lights etc. You can go anytime there is a barrier controlled entrance, water to wash your van, toilets in the car showroom. Look in the Yellow pages or on web for the number, would find it for you, but if your filing system is anything like mine could take a week!!

When we were looking we couldnt get anything and like you we have a large twin-axle van, we tried every storage site and farm around all were full. Motor nation just started their storage so we got in there fast, bit more than we wanted to pay but I suppose you get what you pay for. Hope this helps

Hi Tim and Cary, go to Barrons at Culcheth and ask them, they gave us a list of storage within a 20 mile radius when we got our van in Feb.  There is one down the A580 towards Manchester- Greyhound Island--turn right--then first right down the side of a building.  I know they have got some spaces as we put our name there-we then got somewhere else and they rang us Tue evening to see if we still needed a space.  There is also somewhere near the M58 over Skelmersdale area.  If I can find the paper with the bits on I will post back.  Cheers Gary

Hi Tim and Cary we had the same notification from our current storage facility and ouor van isnt anything out of the ordinary. My husband was convinced that when he origianlly signed up he was told that it was one bay per van. Anyway, we will have to comply with the current request to have it in the same bay alongside another van, albeit a very tight squeeze and impossible to to remove from storage by yourself. Which probably means that we wont be going out and about as much as we would like.

Kind regards
Sue
