At long last I am building a list of manuals in printable PDF format to download free from my website, I have just one up there at the moment but time permitting I will get two or three a week uploaded and hopefully get a decent library going.
Print 'odd' pages first collecting them as they come out of the printer on the tray and then turn over and around, put them back and print 'even' pages
I had plans a few months ago to do something similar with not only the caravan accessory manuals, but for the caravan manuals themselves, but could not gain permission to do so from the respective companies, which is a shame as i spent a lot of time acquiring a vast amount of manuals for appliances and caravans only to be told that i could face legal action if i 'copied' and made public the information provided in them.
I hope you have better luck than i did with it mate!
Interesting point Grub, but I wonder how that applies to long obsolete appliances?, especially where the manufacturer no longer exists?
The one up there now does not mention copyright and looking through other Carver manuals neither do they.
The other thing is in law you have a 'right of supply' and if not available from it's original source, someone else is entitled to fulfil any demand. Beyond that with gas appliances, the manufacturer is obliged to supply maintenance literature on demand because of safety issues so I'd say I'm doing them a favour!!
There was a guy selling Cascade2 repair information on ebay a little while ago, a customer had bought it and sent me a copy. A lot of the info was from me! the seller having been to my workshop picking my brains, the information as written was pretty usless if not inaccurate so I told him he could pack it up in no uncertain term. But what really made me laugh and was actually the final reminder to start this. Theres yet another guy on ebay at the moment selling copies of Carver manuals, he says if you buy one, then copy it and try selling it on ebay he will prosecute!!!!

If he does'nt own the copyright (which i'm certain is the case) then he can't threaten to prosecute! If anything he's playing with fire himself by selling the manuals!
Some people are out to make money no matter what the risk!
Will watch this post with interest as ime looking for handbook /manual for the lunar clubman we have just bought (1993) i know most vans work similar, but just one instance is the difference between taps, our ABI had micro switches, but the clubman dosen't .. so even that was some thing new to us, so manual/handbook would have been useful

I deal in Carver water heaters and gas fires and it was the manuals for these that I was referring to. I have got one more up there, Fanmaster Mk1 installation and fault finding but bit slow at it I'm afraid. Next up, Cascade 2 GE Rapide and later type Carver fires 2000/4000/5500, 98 to 2000
