I asked the salesman from Chipping Sodbury Caravans about this at the recent NEC show. He said that Bailey themselves won't fit them as a factory option to this model, but they will happily supply them to be fitted by a Bailey dealer. This applies to some other models as well, and Chipping S. have fitted quite a lot of them. The cost is £250, and they weight 13kgs, which would have some effect on the noseweight. The ex-works nose weight by the way is 57kgs with the standard spare wheel and carrier behind the axle.

If we were to buy a Bordeaux, the chest would be essential because otherwise you have only a small shelf for a cup of coffee and you have to get the big table out for eating, and put it away when you've finished. You can leave it out, but it's very claustrophobic, and we'd hate it. We did like a lot of things about the van, though not so keen on the non-tanked washroom, with the tap and sink outside it. Makes just having a quick stand-up wash a bit grim!

There was one on ebay only a few weeks ago.  Don't know if it would fit a Bailey, but the  price was £30.00

we got one for our coachman from the caravan center pontypool

find them under caravan breaker in the company directory

cost us £30 came out of an eldiss fits great and i know they do mail order.

S' funny - we've just taken the centre chest out of our Ranger and converted it to wrap around seating.

Not going to get rid of the ol' chest though - it'll have to go back in come selling time - (whenever that is?)
