I have just bought my caravan after weeks of searching with on a real small budget of just £1,500 for a 4 berth. As is sometimes typical, after travelling many miles looking at 'super clean' examples that turned out to be worse than my shed (same price though to be fair!) I bought one 5 minutes from my house, real nice guy too, even gave me a spare spare wheel as the fitted one was little low on tread!
Everything works as it should, zero damp dramas anywhere, spotlessly clean inside and out....a lot of van for what I paid.
My question is..... what is it?
Al-Ko chassis plate on the nose says she is a 1990 onwards, the van is an ABI 'Jubilee Pioneer'................... or should that be 'Pioneer Jubilee'? I need to know in case I need spares in the future.

whoops, I knew i forgot to mention something! Do I have a mains to 12 DC convertor on-board?
I have found a 230v unit, the size of a large A5 book labled LOGIC 1 near the water heater which I think is a mains ACV to 12DCV convertor? It appears to run the lights, pumps and water heater if the 12 v supply is turned off at the ZIG unit, to the middle position and the mains hook-up is connected.
You can guess I'm no fan of this bit of kit prefering it's secondary use as a door stop to that of a transformer. I would strongly suggest you have it checked out internally for signs of overheating or better still just replace it.
Well theres three better choices from John, told you they are useless don't even make a good door stop!
For a charger/power source I prefer something set at 13.8v with an output of 10 or 12amps, this way it can be left connected permanently to a battery or work without one.

Hope you enjoy your new van. We have just sold a 16 year old Elddis Whirlwind which we only paid £1650 for three and a half years ago. We actually sold it for £2100 because we looked after it. All we did was replace the battery once, buy a new gas bottle, replace the plastic strips inside the window frames, re-seal the awning rail, even though it didn't need it and replaced the waterproof lining in the shower room to freshen it up, basically we still made a couple of hundred pounds in three and a half years.
