Has anyone had experience with these vans? I would like to buy a 2006 Altea 432PX as it is light and has a fixed bed. Are the vans well constructed?

They are not British so they are well constructed. Never owned one but been very close over the years.

Hi John

Had ours for three years now, the only time its been back to the dealers is for its annual service, which says it all I think. I have two young children (now 2 and 4) and they have climbed all over it, spilt food and drink everywhere, thrown bikes and toys against it and it still scrubs up no problem. Only problem I had was sourcing a door when someone ran into it in storage(that took about 5 months). They are basic but honest caravans and when cleaned looks like new. You will have the advantage in a 2006 model of the door on the uk side and a slightly better specced wash area, and smooth aluminium panels (I prefer my stippled side because they hide an awful lot of dings-kids again). The other bonus is as they are light they tow very well, and surprisingly have a low nose weight so you can put loads of kit under the front bed.

Hope this helps

Jon

I was lucky enough to visit Adria's factory this year, and they appeared committed to putting right the 'Spare Parts' problem of a little while back. Their new factory now has a HUGE spare parts warehouse attached, and as caravans are heading to the UK every week, they just bung the required parts inside. The return trip is made to Slovenia with bits from Fleetwood to fit out the Sonatas that Adria build. It's all very clever!

Oh, and they're lovely vans!

Andrew
