We took delivery of a new 510/4 in December 06 and went away for new year. Very windy but loved the van such value for money. Bought from Barrons Coppul, ordered in November but they had one on order for display so was lucky.

When we got back I noticed that trim around bathroom worktop (which sink sits in) was coming away from the wood and that shower hose was coming uncoiled. So I wrang Barrons and they are sending somebody out just before we go away in Feb.

Impressed with both Barrons and Bailey.

Thanks Fatbelly!

I'll never understand why they produce the same models in so many different ranges though, is there a big difference in specs between each one, and what sort of price difference are they? I know the Discovery is basic and the Senator's a luxury top-of-the-range job, but what about the Ranger and Discovery? You only ever see one of them on forecourts so that's something I've always wondered about.

We've had our 550-6 for nearly four years now, done over 100 nights in it, towed it over 6000 miles and we're still waiting for its first reportable fault.

Four of us live in it, three big uns and a 'ickle 'un.  The earlier models bunks (ours) went right across the back of the van and can accomodate a six footer easily.

Gripes?  hmmm.....  noseweight was a problem. Couldn't get it below 75kg without irresponsible loading.  We only put 1 small gas bottle in the locker + the spare lives in an underfloor carrier behind the axle (alko). We've also removed the front chest and turned the lounge into wraparound seating.

Best bits, blimey where to start. It's huge for its weight (we live like slobs but there's always room to move.)     It's 100% reliable, still has about 70% of its value, nothings broken off it, cupboards and doors feel solid compared to some I've felt in the past, the list goes on.

Buy one - you won't regret it.

(can I have my fee now please Mr Bailey?)

hope to be ordering ranger 460 later on in the year. the practical caravan have been saying for years that the bailey rangers are the best value for money caravan that you can buy. after looking what was on offer at the nec .i totally agree .the ambience and finnish of them puts a lot or foreign vans to shame.
