The washroom door handle recently broke on my 1990 caravan. The door handle was more or less a standard fit for vans of that era. A local dealer told me they were no longer manufactured. I tried a breaker, The Caravan Centre at Blaenavon, Gwent (formerly at Pontypool). They had a stock of NEW doorhandles as they could not keep up with the demand for used ones! The moral of this tale is that you cant believe everything (anything?) a dealer says!
we go to a bloke who used to run a major caravan dealership but is now a one-man band caravan repairer and supplier of caravan parts. We got a few bits off him yesterday. We only ended up paying for the new double socket we wanted and at a fiver it was half the price of the caravan supplier we used to go to and rest he gave us for nowt. It pays to shop around
