Has anyone sold their caravan on eBay? Did the costs of doing this mount up?

Insertion fee, fee for photos, PayPal fees etc. I was trying to work out rough costs today, and it looks as though there is a £100 fee for putting a reserve price on items for over £5000. This is refunded if the item is sold but not if it isn't sold. I would have to put a reserve on (and over £5000) as I can't risk selling at too low a price, but to have to pay £100 if I don't sell sounds very offputting to me. Have I got this right?

Why not simply start the bidding at £5,000 rather than using the costly 'reserve' option? also another tip to save paying the silly Ebay listing fee's...if you list the caravan in 'caravan accessories' rather than the actual 'caravan' catagory you will have to pay just a couple of quid max to list you 'van.
99% of people looking for a caravan will type the word 'caravan' in the search box, so yours will be seen just as much as any other caravan advertised on Ebay.

Think if its in the cars/caravans section the insertion fee is £6, with a final selling fee of about £30. I think if you put on a reserve its about £3.

Cheers

Chris
