its a bit tricky to put up, but we have found that the more times we do it the better we get, we found it best to peg the sides 1st, pulling just under the caravan, then insert the poles and peg out.
we have had ours at Brean, and it put up with high gusty winds, although it did leak like a sieve, we didnt know that you had to seal the seals yourself :o(
had a look at your profile, oh if only all pitches were that level lol, the 390 is a little tricky on unlevel pitches
We had to Fabsil the seam at the awning rail. It leaked terribly until we did. Also did the same to the seams at the two front doors which had no sealing strip on them. Seems to have cured the leaks.
As mentioned check the awning rail to ground height on your van. Had to cut about 50mm off our poles to get the back to sit against the van. Cured the flapping ( I think ) by using 15mm pipe lagging on the back flaps, also closes up any gaps.
We quite like the awning but feel it has quite a few design / quality control problems. Surely the awning rail seam should be taped on any awning, no matter how cheap.
WE have a 390 version and a bailey ranger 550/6, Love the awning used it loads of times this year. Whilst away in Lincolnshire during August in the middle of an RAF base, it was like being in a wind tunnel, no problem.
For the price they are, and the space you get with the sheer speed of putting up and taking down, really don't think they can be beaten.
We also have a 390 and a Ranger 550/6 we have sealed ours with fabsil - no leaks now and have sewn an additional guyrope half way down the side that is nearest the reat of the van. we attahce this to the handles on the rear of the van no flapping at all now.

we have given up with our 390, we could not stop it leaking, no matter how much sealer we put on, leaked like a sieve, also found it hard to get a flush fit on the van, to be honest, not impressed with it, unless its nice dry weather, although i know some people have had no problems, also when pulling it on the awning rail, i tore a hole in the roof, and was shocked how easy it ripped, for the money i feel that its better spent on a full awning, 2nd hand.
Will heed the warning re tearing on awning rail. I do have a full awning but thought this would be ideal for a weekend. I wanted something that would be easily put up. Will be using it in a few weeks time so I'm sure I'll find out if its waterproof then.
