There is also a list of insurers on here. You may get some more quotes. Come back and tell us what you find. And remember price is not everything, some insurers can be reluctant to pay out, ask here before buying.
To go through one of the Clubs you need to be a member, but they have great sites so it is well worth it anyway.
I had some hassle getting insurance for my excellent easy.
This was principally because I did not have a CRIS number. The caravan club would not insure me until I got CRIS registered but through the camping and caravanning club I got in touch with Adrian Flux who were willing to cover me till the CRIS registration came through (4 - 6 weeks). It was about £400 ish for the year but now that I am CRIS registered I may be able to look around next year for a more competitive quote.

Thanks to everyone who offered adviceon insuring my Hobby caravan. I eventually settled for The Caravan Club whose quote was not the lowest by approx. 35 pounds but were not demanding anything more than a hitchlock and wheelclamp - which I want anyway. Others were pushing for all sorts of things which I thought were a bit expensive although nice to have. I did, of course, join the Caravan Club for their other benefits and have had a very good quote for personal and caravan cover over a 48 day trip to France in May/June. All in all am happy!!
we insure our caravan with NFU. pay about £20 a month. had lots of problems trying to get it insured with it being wide. love our caravan. once you have had a hobby hard to get something as nice as wide and spacious.
just get a bit stressed with my hubby towing it. worse part is getting out of our street. we store it outside our house so we are able to keep an eye on it. only problem we had was someone tried to break in through a window one night but dogs must have disturbed them.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
