A galvanised chassis is zinc plated to stop it rusting so silver/grey in appearance, these became most common after 1983 when Alko chassis's were more widely used.

Your Monza I think is just before this, (79-82), so possibly on a painted chassis but certainly made by B&B, this firm is long gone but essential spares are available.

There is normally an identifying plate around the 'A'  frame, jockey wheel, area.

Galvanised metal is a dull silvery colour with a marbled effect....ie not a solid silver.
