Have bitten the bullet and bought out first van - sterling eccles sapphire (97). 3 small ones are very excited and can't wait for our first outing. Can anyone recommend a decent place in Cumbria to get the van serviced? I would like to go by recommendation but we don't know any other caravanners (yet!).

Hiya

I don't know which part of Cumbria you are from, we are in Carlisle and have used Ian Clark who is mobile and will come to you or where-ever you store your caravan. I just can't lay my hands on his contact details for you. We now take our caravan back to the dealer that we bought it from on the outskirts of Newcastle, United British Caravans, near the Racecourse. We got an excellent deal and their aftersales service has been brilliant.

There is Barrons at High Hesket and Carlisle Caravan Centre at Harker but i don't have any experience of their service.

Our service is domne at Callendar in carnforth but Barsea Leisure have a good name too - depends which end of Cumbria you are in

Dont go to Barrons at High Hesket as they are very expensive try ringing Caravan Centre at Harker they could recommend someone we got name of guy from them who we used last year he was excellent but I have misplaced his name as we now have a new van under warranty, I think his name was Richard he is self employed and used to work for Harker.
