| Employer's Name: Hideaway Cabins (White House Farm) | Location: Herefordshire |
IMMEDIATE START - LIVE FOR FREE IN BEAUTIFUL RURAL HEREFORDSHIRE
We run White House Hideaway & White House Glamping, a small independent glamping business set on a beautiful farm in the Herefordshire countryside, close to Ross-on-Wye and the River Wye.
We`re looking for a friendly, responsible person - or couple - who would like to live on site in exchange for providing occasional first-response cover for our guests.
This could be ideal for someone travelling in a motorhome/campervan, working remotely, between jobs, taking some time out, or simply looking for a beautiful and inexpensive place to base themselves for a while.
What we provide
You can choose between:
• Your own private static caravan on the farm; or
• A pitch for your own motorhome/campervan with electric hook-up and facilities.
Utilities and Starlink Wi-Fi are included.
We`re initially looking for someone for 1-6 months, although we`re completely open to it becoming longer-term if it suits everyone.
What we`re asking in return
The main thing we need is simply a reliable person physically based on site who can be our first point of contact if a guest needs help.
Our guests stay in a small number of luxury cabins around the farm. Most of the time everything runs perfectly and there is nothing to do.
Occasionally, however, somebody may need help with something simple - perhaps they can`t work something out, something needs resetting, or they need somebody to pop over and take a look.
You do not need to be a maintenance expert.
We`re looking for somebody calm, sensible and practical enough to attend, see what`s happening, solve straightforward problems where possible, and contact us or one of our local tradespeople if specialist help is needed.
There are no reception duties, no fixed daily shifts and no requirement to run the site. Our existing team handles the day-to-day operation, housekeeping and guest communications.
Any additional work we mutually agree - maintenance, gardening, housekeeping, projects etc. - would be optional and paid separately at £13 per hour.
Who would suit this?
We`re much more interested in finding the right person than somebody with campsite experience.
You`ll need to be:
• Reliable and responsible
• Friendly and comfortable speaking to guests
• Calm when something unexpected happens
• Reasonably practical / happy having a go at simple problems
• Respectful of what is ultimately a peaceful guest environment
Singles and couples are equally welcome.
There is plenty of opportunity to explore the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Herefordshire and surrounding countryside, and outside of the occasional call-out your time is your own.
Immediate start available.
If this sounds interesting, send us a little bit about yourself, your circumstances, whether you would need our static caravan or have your own motorhome/campervan, and when you could start.
We`re happy to have an informal chat first and see if it could work for both sides.
