Description
Pitches: 10 Vans + 5tents
This basic site is tucked away on a working farm in North Yorkshire, a handy 10 minutes` drive from the seaside action at historic Whitby, overlooked by its dramatical Gothic abbey.
Fantastic views towards Whitby and the North Sea and a peaceful location well away from the bustle of the coastal resorts are part of the magic at Selly Hill Farm Campsite.
Pitches are on two acres of partly sloping meadows, with simple facilities including an amenities block with a shower and loos, drinking-water taps and parking by the pitches.
There`s plenty of room in the fields for kids (and any accompanying furry friends) to have a good run around, and more walkies for everyone in the North York Moors National Park direct from the pitches.
Fishing, golf and horse riding can be organised and there`s an indoor swimming pool at Whitby Leisure Centre (all of these are within 10 minutes by car) if you need a rainy-day idea for entertaining the kids.
Several local takeaways will deliver to the site, and there`s a pub within five minutes` drive as well as all the shop, restaurant and bar options in Whitby (10 minutes).
