Designated as one of the best national campsites, this is the only privately-run campsite in Northeast region, being certified by ICNF as a Nature Tourism business, also bearing the international environmental quality seal from GreenKey.

Cepo Verde campsite is located in a mountain highland, densely covered by chestnut trees, oaks and cherry trees, on a spot marked by IGESPAR as an ancient Roman site.

Open since 1993, this is a quiet and family-oriented campsite, with an extraordinary landscape and surroundings.

Offering 40 individual spots, all of them with plenty of shades for tents, caravans and mobile homes, the campsite has a full capacity to accommodate 140 people. The spots are individual and independent, thus assuring a maximum comfort and privacy. 6 Amp / 230 V electrical connections (EU plug).

Private parking (for campers and visitors).
Chemical disposal point for waste water from campers and caravans.
Central changing-room with free hot water and toilets for people with reduced mobility.
Barbecue facilities and potable water spots.
Playground for children aged 5 till 12 (with mandatory parental supervision).
Sports area with basketball backboard and table tennis.
Reception/souvenir shop, charcoal, wood/briquettes, gas for camping and regional products.
Traditional wood-fired oven for baking bread (once a week).
The Porch of Traditions (open museum with traditional artefacts), wine press, wine cellar and regional kitchen.
Wi-fi access available only in the bar/restaurant building, terrace and in the area surrounding the reception building.

There are clearly marked hiking trails nearby.

Visitors will be able to contemplate the world`s biggest pocket knife, registered in the Guinness World Records Book, which is exhibited in the campsite.

Nearby Attractions

Montesinho National Park and also the medieval historical castle in the city of Bragança.
