Pitches: 25
Dovecot Caravan Park is a family run, peaceful site situated conveniently near the A90 half way between Aberdeen and Dundee right on the border of Aberdeenshire and Angus.
Placed in a warm hollow surrounded on three sides by banking, small trees and the River North Esk.
We have privately owned static caravans and sites for 25 tourers, motorhomes (6 pitches are hard-standing) a small tent area.
Our facilities include a well appointed, heated toilet block including 2 wet rooms suitable for disabled and family use, laundry, electric hook-up points and a reception which has table tennis and a pool table.
Children have the choice of two play areas.
Dogs are welcome, although PLEASE keep them on a lead whilst at the site.
We have a lovely dog walk following the edge of the river.
Reception has a small freezer with ice-creams and attraction information for the area.
Nearby Attractions
There are some fantastic walks nearby including The Blue Door Walk to the Rocks of Solitude on the River North Esk, approx. 5 miles from site.
You can enjoy coastal walks and picnics along St Cyrus Nature Reserve, Montrose beach & Lunan Bay only a short drive away.
Montrose Basin visitor centre, home to over 50,000 migratory birds, offers a great day out for all the family.
Brechin Castle Centre offers lots of activities for children. There are 4 Golf Courses within a 15 minute drive. And don`t forget to visit Edzell Castle & the legend of the White Lady.
For a different kind of spirit, Fettercairn Distillery and it`s gift shop is only 4 miles away, open May-September.
Heading to Stonehaven we have Dunnottar Castle, Stonehaven Tolbooth Museum and Stonehaven`s Open Air Swimming Pool.
