Just under five minutes` drive from the beach at Criccieth and around half an hour from the impressive castles of Harlech and Caernarfon, it`s an excellent base for exploring the Llyn Peninsula.
A 10-minute drive brings you to the broad, south-facing sands of Pwllheli - once a haven for smugglers and pirates, now a far more peaceful spot. For something more scenic, follow the Llyn Peninsula Coastal Path for breathtaking views, abundant wildlife and invigorating sea air. Whether it`s sandcastle building, paddling or rockpooling, the coastline offers plenty to enjoy.
If you would prefer to leave the car behind, a bus stop is just five minutes` walk away, or you can explore on foot. The nearby village of Llanystumdwy (also five minutes away) is well worth a visit as the final resting place of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George. Here, you can visit his grave, explore the small museum, take a stroll along the picturesque River Dwyfor, or unwind with a drink in the local pub.(Local pub is under refurbishment at the moment until our 2027 season)
