 Great site with lovely, helpful owners. Quiet & peaceful with fab toilet, shower shed.
We booked last minute as only had a few hours to escape the routine & so pleased we did.
The coastal walks which is very well signposted is definitely worth a look, stunning views.
We walked to Hunmanby Gap beach cafe for breakfast, it took about an hour & a half along the coastal path.
We will definitely return to this lovely little site.

Outstanding stay, Sonya and John are great owners. Helpful but not intrusive. I had difficulty getting tent up in wind Sonya was on hand to help, then John in what felt like gales put my windbreaker up for me as it kept lifting off when I tried to!
The site is picturesque with views across the fields plenty of wildlife the barn swallows loved dipping along my tent for their bugs.
Deer in field, barn owl and kestrel just a few sightings. Location great for Filey, Bempton, Bridlington and Scarborough, lovely walks directly from sight. Pub Honey pot just along the road but unfortunately now closed for winter reset. Fish chips Filey or Flambrough. I was stung while out at Bempton just a couple miles from sight Chemist in both Filey and Flambrough if needed. Coffee/tea room next village Buckton. Fresh eggs at the tractor place in village too.
The site it one of the cleanest best kept I’ve stayed on. The custom built shower and toilets are so unique. The shower is built in so no flooding and slipping, also great if you have young ones they can sit in like a bath. Just think another shower might be helpful but they are still updating facilities.
Hire of fire pits can be had, great for stargazing evenings as no other lights.
A little road noise but you get used to it only a B road quite at night.
Definitely will be back and recommend Although make sure you have a good tent and pegged down in wind, I actually left 2days early nothing to do with site as I was reluctant to leave but solo camping in the elements of 35 mile hour winds not fun ! Can only give 10out10 but would 100% want to give more

If TDLR is your thing, then just know this is a lovely little well kept site with nice friendly relaxed owners that's perfect for nature lovers and walkers/cyclists. I'd definitely recommend. For more, read on
Very well kept small site in a perfect location for walking and cycling. Pitches are large and on the most level field I've ever had! You get a warm welcome from Sonya, reassuring you that there's no rush to leave on the day of departure, so there's plenty of time to air your tent all around before leaving.
The shower hut and toilet is a little creative gem put together by John and Sonya and it feels cosy with lots of local info in there and nice little touches. Lovely hot shower that almost feels like a hot tub, lol. All brilliantly put together. There's a second toilet in a tiny shed next to it, should the shower room be occupied. There's an outside drinking water tap, and I’m told a proper washing up area is on it's way. Rubbish and recycling area and chemical disposal point. All in all, sufficient clean and tidy facilities.
I like to leave my car on a campsite for as much of my stay as possible, and on this site I could easily do this pretty much everyday. Walk up the side of the field at the back of the site, turn left and in about 20 minutes of country walking, past the friendly horse field, you're at The Dotterell bus stops for the number 12 or 13 up to Scarborough or down to Bridlington and all points in between.
Turn right and you walk through Speeton, past the church and down onto the England Coastal path.
Filey is 4 or 6 miles north, depending if you stay up on the cliffs or go straight down onto the beach (check high tide times before taking the beach option). Flamborough is about 7 miles south, and Bridlington about 15. Best of all, Bempton Cliffs and the RSPB centre is only about 3 miles from this point, a birdwatchers paradise!
In essence, you can walk along the coast for as far as you like, north and south, as your fitness and fancy takes you. All walks are glorious, with stunning views and wildlife. Having the cheat code of the bus just 20 minutes from the site means you don't have to double back on yourself so can walk that much further. For cycling, you can drop down into close by Reighton, and it's easy to pick up the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route, which is pretty flat over this way and full of quiet country lanes. The full route is easily accessible online.
The site is next to a B road that can be heard if you tune into it, but I found the Skylarks singing their little hearts out right beside me more than made me forget all about that! I got to see and hear lots of different birds right from my tent, not to mention watching Hares and Deer in the fields right next door, too.
So all in all, a fantastic little site for my needs in a stunning part of the country.

Great site. Perfect for our inaugural night in our camper van.
Hosts were friendly and helpful.
The site is level, the pitches are well spaced out.
Beautifully clean facilities. Appreciated the hot shower.
Will definitely be back.

We have stayed on the Hayfield Cottage site many times over the years and were delighted to hear that the new owners were keeping our ‘happy place’ open.
The site has easy access and is well appointed.
Its location is so convenient for our favourite haunts: Bridlington, Flamborough, Bempton and Filey. Fraisthorpe and Scarborough are also not far away.
We hope to be back in the Spring.

The flattest site we have ever camped on - it was lovely! Plenty of room between tents, there are 2 fields and Sonya and John only allow 6 in each field which is great.
The toilet / shower room is fantastic plenty of space to get dry after your shower.
Fire pit's to hire (reasonable price) and logs to buy if you need them.
Sonia and John come round in a morning to check on you, which is a really nice touch. Walking distance to the beach (but not for young kids. )
We will definitely be back next season. Thank you for a fantastic weekend 😁

Lovely campsite in an ace location.
We walked to Bempton cliffs on a fabulous cliff top walk from the site. The shower and toilet was clean and lovely and warm.
Perfect host who made time to chat to us during our stay.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay here. We had a lovely time during our stay.
The campsite is very quiet well maintained and is in driving distance to the local attractions Bempton Cliffs Flamborough Filey and the lovely Hunmanby Gap which is a stunning beach. All a short drive away.
The site has a quirky toilet/shower mainly using recycled wood so it had a bit of a homely touch to it.
Nice shower mats provided and clean.
Sonya was a good host.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet site with no noise and loud music and parties.
Excellent value for money.

Great site, very peaceful and well located. Sonia was very welcoming and friendly. The toilet and shower were very clean and tidy as was the whole site.
The water, chemical waste disposal and bins are all within easy reach of every pitch. My son and I stayed for a few days birdwatching at Bempton Cliffs RSPB which is only a few minutes
Drive away. The pub up the road serves good food and is within a ten minute walk. I would definitely reccomend this site and hope to be back before too long.
