 Excellent site. The wardens are helpful and operate a clean, neat and safe site. Pitches are well maintained grass. The security barrier at the entrance is simple and effective.
While we did not use any of the site's washroom or toilet facilities, preferring to use our own washroom in the 'van, everything that we saw was clean.
There is a 'drive over' grey water drain and all taps provide drinking water. The toilet cassette emptying point is easy to use.
Dogs are welcomed on leads and there are footpaths leading from the site to Tentsmuir with miles of coastline and forest paths within easy reach.
There is a selection of shops in Tayport, with a cafe just outside the site gate. Buses run to St Andrews and Dundee from the site gate [about half an hour to each].
There is a selection of books and DVDs available to borrow and a television that can be used to watch DVDs if you have not brought one with you. Microwave, freezer, washing machine are all available, although we did not make use of them.

A return visit: quick & easy online booking, £32 pn, return email gives your pitch number, and a mobile phone number that lifts the security barrier. Only 1 hardstand; the EHU grass pitches around the outside are firm, dry and big.
The most tents we've seen for a while, in the centre. The free Wi-Fi only worked by the office, for us.
Showers nicely hot, sadly not everyone mopped up after themselves.
There are loads of toys & books to borrow in the site building, and regular events at the Larick Centre next door, with food available there most of the day.
Plenty of dog walking along the coast in both directions. It's the site we now use to go to V&A Dundee exhibitions (bus #42) or wander round St Andrews (bus #77, or into Dundee bus station and get the #99). Don't miss the timber shed just off the first roundabout to the south, selling delicious fresh Fife fruit & veg.
The site managers live on site, and are welcoming and helpful. The only word of warning is that the site is exposed, so tents were flapping, none of the caravans used awnings, and we had to bungee the MH door open to stop it banging shut.

Just back from our first visit to The Larick Campsite, we stayed 5 nights from the 10th till the 15th July.
What a wonderful little site this is, in an excellent location, with excellent spotlessly clean facilities and two lovely site managers.
The managers Bob & Pauline were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They also keep the site in tip top condition both inside and out. Thank you!
We have family in Dundee and tried here as it is close and only a 15/20 minute drive away. We have decided this will now be our default site when we are coming up to visit family again.
The Larick Cafe in the Larick Centre needs a mention too. We had lunch there one day and it was delicious and Meghan our server was fabulous.
The pitches are very generous, we were on Pitch 15, and we feel offered excellent value. The facilities are on a par with many larger commercial sites and the managers could not do enough to help you. I saw toys available to borrow as well as a TV with built in DVD and binoculars too for watching the abundant wildlife around the site and nearby Tentsmuir forest.
The beach at Tentsmuir is wonderful and child and dog friendly with a lovely wide sandy beach preceded by sand dunes. Just remember to take 2 x £1 coins (think it might take smaller coins too) to get into the barrier as it does not take card. We had crepes at the Salt & Pine Creperie, which were delicious, but I'm told The Rhynd Cafe on the way in/out is also good and looked quite busy when we passed.
We have tried a CAMHC Cl and also a commercial site nearby and while they were fine The Larick ticks all the boxes and is nearer and more accessible so will be our regular site when there.

Stayed here after 10 days bike packing. I was waiting for the garage to finish repairs on my campervan. Was made most welcome by Pauline and Bob. This couple are a absolute credit to the site.
Nice hot showers, facilities are nice and clean. Use or fridge, microwave and laundry are always a big plus when in a tent.
Would be nice to have a metal surface inside for a camp stove for windy /rainy cooking when bike or back packing.

I arrived by bike just as it was getting dark and was warmly welcomed by the warden.
A quick guide tour and I was soon off putting my tent up.
The facilities are new and are kept in excellent condition.
A very cold night so it was a pleasure to use the warm facilities.
Very friendly and helpful staff, this site deserves to be busy.
Lots to see and do in the area.

Lovely big pitches on grass but it's rock solid and mown so short feels like a hardstanding. All have ehu, a drive over moho point and water tap outside reception.
Wardens are wonderful and keep site really clean and tidy.
We weren't booked and were sorted and on pitch a few minutes after arrival.
Facilities very clean but we thought showers were poor. They need a refurb as doors leak and hot water tepid at best. Same at washing up, needed hot water.
We walked to Tentsmuir Point - 2 1/2 miles wach way, lovely forest trail.
We would use again but hope showers and hot water get sorted out.

Lovely wee site close to Tentsmuir Forrest.
This is a non-profit making site so all money made goes back in to the site and the community.
Staff are very friendly, place is spotless.
Lots of walks and cycle lanes near by.
There is a huge field just outside the site for kids to run about.
The cafe is next door. Did not try it but it was very busy.
Would definitely come back.

A great site, Bob and Pauline were so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble and really took pride in the site,
The facilities were very clean with plenty of hot water and great showers,
Would recommend staying here to anyone wanting an exceptional place to stay on tour.

I booked at short notice and they were so accommodating.
I booked in just before Xmas and was hoping to stay throughout New Year however all pitches were booked.
Despite this they offered me to park on the tent area.
Facilities were great, and so clean.
I would recommend this site to all if you are in the area.
